Labor Time Guide Bump Tool

Labor Time Guide times are not accurate in that they don’t consider the age of the vehicle and the real-world conditions causing the vehicles to be harder to work on. This Bump Guide tool can be used by itself or used to see what your Point of Sale, POS, software should be set at.

HINT: Most POS’s allow only ONE Bump Factor. This means the Service Advisors need to be cognitive of how old the vehicle is along with the types of vehicles that parts are scarce to procure which causes time delays of getting on and off vehicles because of age or parts delays.

The labor time guides have proven to be inaccurate for many reasons including vehicle age and wear and tear on the vehicle making the work more time consuming. This tool will help guide you on how much you should bump up your labor time for repair work and services.
